I am fascinated by the Chinese and English languages, and am trying to hone my English by translating Chinese songs (and hopefully other information in Chinese pop culture later) into English.

I am fascinated by the Chinese and English languages, and am trying to hone my English by translating Chinese songs (and hopefully other information in Chinese pop culture later) into English.
I set up this blog with the hope that my translations may help interested people appreciate Chinese music and culture better or maybe improve their Chinese. And I would appreciate suggestions for correction and improvement.
Unless otherwise stated, all translations are my original work.
I have made great efforts for the translations to be faithful to the original meaning and flavor. The translated lyrics are not meant to be used to substitute the original lyrics for singing.
Most original lyrics have rhymes. However, due to my limited English, the rhymes are usually lost in the translations. This is something I am learning to improve.

There was a reader who asked me about translating this and said that you had dropped the series, and I’d just like to confirm that because I don’t see any notice that says that on your site and I wouldn’t want to just start translating without knowing the whole situation. DeleteI have been working on Chapter 54 for a while but just can't seem to finish it. I still have the last 15% or so left unfinished.
I am extremely busy with other stuff in my life these days and probably won't be able to do much update any time soon. So, you can start from Chapter 55 if you would like to. In the mean time, I will try to post Chapter 54 in a week or two.
You are welcome to leave some message on my blog here once you have new translated chapters available so the book fans who happen to be here will have an easy access to the new chapters.
Ok, I'll take a look at chapter 55 then. Just for your information, my Chinese is probably not the best and I might make mistakes so if you ever see anything wrong, just tell me. I'm also not sure how fast I'll be able to release chapters, sometime between weekly/biweekly most likely, but this could increase when I finish the other series I am working on currently.

And also, would you want to alternate chapters or something similar or do you want me to completely take over? Once I see how fast I can translate the chapters we can talk more about how this could work.

DeleteIf I become less busy sometime in the future and feel like resuming the translation work, I will communicate with you first and we can talk about splitting the work then.
And yes, you can link to my translations from your website, as far as my authorship of my translations is respected. As for communication, leaving messages here should be an easy way to reach me. I'll try to respond as soon as possible.
